“People take different roads seeking fulfillment and happiness. Just because they’re not on your road doesn’t mean they’ve gotten lost.” ― Dalai Lama XIV
What we love about Bellingham is that there are many diverse thoughts and practices here. Some are easy to find and others are not so easy. This newspaper’s goal is to highlight the many different organizations and people who provide services or products in Bellingham that inspire the mind, body and spirit. We affectionately call the newspaper the “happy paper.”
- Higher purpose: To bring thought provoking inspirational content to our readers. So often we are bombarded with information that is sensationalized, aimed to frighten us or control us. We believe it is everyone’s birth right to be happy and live a fulfilled life, so we have created the Bellingham Muse as a platform for “happiness.” We do not wish to tell you what to do or how to think. Instead our goal is to help you find the road to fulfillment and happiness that is right for you. We do not have preference for any particular way, but instead want to make it easy for our readers to find all the opportunities available in our beautiful community. Enjoy your journey!
- Stakeholder orientation: We create the publication with the intent of bringing free quality content to our readers, a positive platform for our writers to express themselves and affordable advertising for businesses to grow and prosper.
- Conscious leadership: We devote ourselves to the ongoing process of self- actualization and encourage and support this growth in everyone that works with or reads the Bellingham Muse.
- Conscious culture: We like the acronym TACTILE. T = trust. A = authenticity. C = caring. T = transparency. I = integrity. L = learning. E = empowerment.
We hope to build a place people can come to for inspiration for things to do, learn, experience or even share within our own community. We have the physical paper for a hands on readers, and for our tech savvy we have our website. We encourage you to come back and visit the website frequently as we will be updating and adding content regularly.
Thanks for letting the Muse inspire you.
